Hello all,
I have integrated call status monitoring into umts-tools, so that the
mass dialing tool can detect dropped calls and include them in the
output statistics. I have written a short page explaining the steps
involved in placing the call here:

Monitoring the call status means polling the terminal periodically,
and I am wondering what to put as a reasonable default value for the
poll interval. Currently, I have set this value to 5 seconds for calls
of less than 1 minute, but to 30 seconds for longer calls to avoid
cluttering logs / draining battery.
Also I am wondering what a good default value for the call length
should be. I have set this to 2 minutes for the time being, what are
your thoughts on this?
Your feedback is most welcome, please make sure you reply to the
mailing list!
Jeremy
